Anything sexual, intimate, or physical — soliciting it, offering it, or arranging it — is absolutely prohibited, grounds for a permanent ban, and where relevant reported to the authorities. Yes. Alongo connects people for lawful, platonic activities in public settings — the gym, a walk, a trek, a coffee. We strictly prohibit and actively remove any sexual or unlawful activity, verify every partner's identity, and cooperate with authorities. Meetings are meant for public places like cafés, restaurants, and venues.

Every partner submits a government ID — plus a PAN in India, for tax records — and completes a live face check that's matched to that ID. All photos are automatically screened for unsafe content, and our team reviews each profile. No one can appear or take bookings until they're fully verified. More on our safety page.

Partners set their own hourly rates, so pricing varies by person, city, and activity — you always see the rate before you book. During our introductory phase Alongo charges no platform fee at all — you pay the partner their rate directly, and there are no hidden charges.

There is nothing to pay online while we're starting out — our platform fee is currently zero. You settle the rate directly with your partner when you meet, in person; Alongo never holds or handles that money. No. You chat inside the app over private, encrypted messaging, so you can arrange everything without handing over personal contact details.

Around 28 activities across six groups — outdoors and active (gym, hiking, cycling, yoga), social and dining (coffee, brunch, food tours), explore and adventure (city tours, beach days, road trips), entertainment (movies, live events, comedy), culture and arts (museums, workshops, festivals), and everyday plans (study or work sessions, shopping, pet walks, language exchange). You and your partner agree the plan before you book. It is strictly platonic: the booking is for the activity itself, in a public place, and never anything romantic or sexual.
